Job Overview The Senior Data Engineer will play a critical role in designing and developing large-scale data architectures and pipelines to support business intelligence and data science needs. Key Responsibilities Design and develop large-scale data architectures and pipelines to support business intelligence and data science needs, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility. Develop ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and create tools for real-time and offline analytical processing, leveraging expertise in data modeling and data warehousing. Collaborate with the data science team to integrate data and algorithms into digital processes, ensuring seamless data flow and insights generation. Utilize cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) to design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Apply strong programming skills in Python or other major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems, leveraging expertise in data engineering and software development. Develop data warehouses and data models to support data science and other internal clients, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility. Analyze current data technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions, leveraging expertise in data architecture and technology trends. Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to determine the optimal solution given the requirements directed by the model/use case, ensuring continuous learning and innovation. Essential Qualifications 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, with a strong background in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing. 5+ years of experience with SQL, including data modeling, data warehousing, and query optimization. 5+ years of experience with Python, including data engineering, data science, and software development. Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure), including data pipeline design, deployment, and management. Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark, including data processing, data storage, and data analytics. Experience with reporting tools (Tableau), including data visualization, data storytelling, and insights generation. Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including data trends, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
