About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Seasonal Customer Service Representative to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional support and service to our members, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and accurate manner. Key Responsibilities Receive, investigate, and respond to member inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner Answer and track telephone calls within established department standards Track all existing member calls within the database, ensuring concise and factual documentation Develop a comprehensive understanding of our lines of business, benefits, medical management processes, and demographic change processes Respond to "entry-level" claims inquiries and take "Over the Counter" (OTC) orders for products and diabetic supplies Understand and process "entry-level" enrollment and disenrollment procedures Enter prospective members into our software database and maintain current source documents and reference documents Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments and independently, communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations as required Customer Service Excellence As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for driving the arenaflex culture through our values and customer service standards. You will be accountable for delivering outstanding customer service to all external and internal contacts, developing and maintaining positive relationships through effective and timely communication, and taking initiative to respond, resolve, and follow up on customer service issues in a timely manner. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Minimum of six months to one year of related experience required Ability to read and interpret documents and calculate figures and amounts Strong typing skills (40-60WPM) Excellent oral and written communication skills, including good grammar, voice, and diction Proficient in MS Office, including basic computer and keyboarding skills Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly, courteous, and helpful approach Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare or insurance environment Knowledge of healthcare benefits, medical management processes, and demographic change processes Experience with database management and software applications Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and colleagues Empathy, poise, and a consistent voice, with the ability to provide thoughtful and prompt resolution to customer inquiries and issues Self-motivation, with a positive outlook and the ability to demonstrate confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy when dealing with customers Ability to follow directions, complete tasks accurately, and accept supervisory input and constructive criticism Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
