Job Overview In this critical role, you will be an integral part of our revenue operations department, focusing on medical insurance collections, credits, or setting patient insurance coverage. Key Responsibilities Perform duties related to revenue operations, including medical insurance collections, credits, or setting patient insurance coverage, to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for healthcare services. Communicate effectively with insurance payers to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide information to ensure seamless processes and excellent patient care. Respond promptly and accurately to payer communications, ensuring that all inquiries are addressed in a professional and courteous manner. Collaborate with other revenue operations teams to identify areas for improvement, implement process changes, and ensure seamless workflows across teams. Partner with clinic teammates, such as insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators, to ensure timely and accurate insurance information and excellent patient care. Help identify opportunities for continuous improvement, analyzing processes and suggesting changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Essential Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required, demonstrating a strong foundation in basic skills and knowledge. Minimum of six (6) months of corporate office experience, preferably in a healthcare or revenue cycle setting, showcasing your ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous Revenue Cycle experience is preferred but not required, as we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success in this role. Data Entry experience, filling out online forms, and navigating through the internet and provider portals with ease and accuracy. Basic knowledge of proper claim accounting principles and medical billing or accounting concepts is a significant plus, demonstrating your understanding of the revenue cycle process. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in revenue cycle operations, medical billing, or insurance coverage. Strong understanding of insurance payer guidelines, regulations, and policies, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all interactions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Proficiency in navigating electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software applications, demonstrating your ability to adapt to new technologies.
