Job Overview
The Data Entry Specialist will play a critical role in updating and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our company databases and computer systems. As a key member of our data team, you will work closely with our Data Manager and other team members to ensure seamless data entry operations. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting and entering data into databases, maintaining accurate records, and performing regular backups to safeguard valuable company information.

Key Responsibilities

Verifies and logs receipt of data, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Transcribes source data into the required electronic format, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Transfers information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners, demonstrating proficiency in data entry software and equipment.
Performs high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software, meeting department standards for quality and productivity.
Verifies integrity of data by comparing it to source documents, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
Reviews data for errors, missing pages, or missing information, taking corrective action to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Maintains a filing system and protects confidential customer information, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
Performs regular backups to ensure data preservation, minimizing the risk of data loss or corruption.
Responds to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system, providing timely and efficient support to colleagues and stakeholders.
Uses basic office equipment (photocopy machine, facsimile machine, etc.) as required, demonstrating familiarity with standard office technology.
Maintains a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards, continually striving for improvement and excellence.
Completes additional assigned tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support team objectives.
Prepares, compiles, and sorts documents for data entry, ensuring efficient and organized workflows.


Requirements and Qualifications
