About the Role: Project Director - RES PMO We're looking for a talented Project Director to lead our RES PMO (Project Management Office) team in driving strategic portfolio management and project execution across the division. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for overseeing high-value projects, developing project plans, and ensuring timely delivery. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving business growth, improving processes, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities • Lead project management activities for high-value projects across the RES division, from initiation to execution and closure. • Develop and maintain project artifacts, including project charters, plans, risk and issue logs, and dashboards. • Manage multiple simultaneous projects of varying priority and complexity, across different teams and stakeholders. • Drive the development of the organization's culture at the functional level, ensuring strong alignment with stakeholders across the broader project. • Develop communication strategies and implement processes, activities, and projects that result in timely dissemination of information and communication consistency. • Support the development of business cases, prioritization, and overall divisional portfolio management. • Establish and maintain effective relationships and feedback loops between leaders, functional stakeholders, and cross-divisional Delta teams. • Contribute to the growth and development of the RES PMO capability and the creation of a Center of Excellence for strategic portfolio management. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: • Excellent planning, organization, and creative problem-solving skills. • A proven track record of managing and delivering multiple projects of varying sizes and complexity. • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across the organization and build and effectively manage relationships with stakeholders and senior management. • The ability to lead and work independently and within a team. • Proficiency in written and oral communications, with the ability to produce concise documents for executive presentations. • A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. • At least 18 years old and authorization to work in the US. • Compliance with Delta's COVID-19 vaccination policy (where allowed by relevant law). Preferred Qualifications To give you a competitive edge, we prefer: • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or experience managing projects according to Project Management Institute (PMI) principles. • Experience with PowerApps, Sharepoint, and project management software. • A proven ability to work in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and aggressive timelines.
