About the Role

As a Principal Architect on our Google Cloud team, you will lead cross-functional teams of experts to help clients plan, design, execute, and manage enterprise cloud strategies. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction of our clients' cloud adoption journeys, working closely with them to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities


Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key clients, engaging with developers, CTOs, and CIOs to understand their needs and develop strategies to deliver business value.
Provide technical expertise and thought leadership on cloud computing, enterprise technology, and Google Cloud solutions, promoting our products and services at conferences, meetings, and online.
Develop and present recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise models, platforms, and application foundations to execute comprehensive cloud solutions.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to manage the enterprise architecture relationship with clients.
Travel to client sites, conferences, and other related events up to 50% of the time to stay connected with clients and stay up-to-date on industry trends.


Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:


A four-year college education in Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 2 years of experience as an enterprise engineer in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role.
Experience with cloud computing (e.g., applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data) and cloud market dynamics.
Strong technical skills and ability to learn and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge:


Experience building, architecting, designing, and executing distributed, global cloud-based systems in network infrastructure, security, data, or application development.
Familiarity with structured enterprise architecture practices, hybrid cloud solutions, and on-premise-to-cloud migration services and tools.
Knowledge of technology solutions, computing architectures, and the enterprise technology buying and evaluation process.
Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve goals.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and influence audiences.
