Job Overview
We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician and Data Entry Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be the front and center of our patient-centric approach, interacting with our customers and developing strong patient relationships. You will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, including the use of pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy. Additionally, you will be responsible for data entry tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of patient information and prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, including the use of pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information
Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for possible interactions
Develop strong relationships with patients and customers, providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues
Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, ensuring accurate and efficient processing
Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow
Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors
Strictly adhere to the arenaflex policy regarding accurate dispensing of medications
Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required
Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding products
Handle phone calls that don't require the personal attention of the pharmacist
Process manual claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner


Essential Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
Preferred: six months of experience in a retail environment
Preferred: previous work experience with arenaflex
Preferred: desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
Preferred: basic computer skills
Preferred: knowledge of store inventory control
Preferred: PTCB certification
