Key Responsibilities Convey reporting and insights in the area of paid media to support business decisions Design and construct/lead the development of analysis, business intelligence, and data science expectations to enhance visible paid media and improve marketing efficiencies Collaborate with paid media data science teams and marketing teams to implement media mix models Direct ad-hoc analysis through database querying, followed by intelligent interpretation of results and the design and communication of recommendations that drive action Work closely with marketing, finance, and product teams to address business challenges and track marketing and product performance with a data-driven approach Utilize Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports Analyze data to identify business issues and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage data (internal data from Amazon and external data from market research and marketing firms) and address complex business challenges by delivering meaningful insights Brainstorm and run analysis that generates insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and improve our offerings Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Experience in the area of Business Intelligence, Analysis, or Consulting in an e-commerce environment or related field Advanced SQL skills Advanced experience with at least one industry analysis and metrics perception tools (e.g., Tableau/QuickSight/PowerBI) Proficiency in Excel with a proven track record A degree in data science, business, economics, information technology, statistics, mathematics, or other related fields Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following skills and qualities are highly desirable: A passion for working in a team of highly engaged individuals A passion for numbers, data, and statistics, as well as for delivering high-quality analysis A strong bias for action, highly organized, and ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal direction and tight deadlines Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with both business leadership and technical teams effectively Experience with subscription-based or media content organizations Experience with and/or interest in learning more about state-of-the-art data science approaches Programming languages: knowledge of Python Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or C#, or of statistical programming languages like R or SAS Knowledge of Adobe Analytics Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Amazon, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
