**Job Summary**
We are seeking a part-time Medical Claims Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis from January to June 2025. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for entering source claim documents by reviewing and correcting data deficiencies. You will work in a production-paced environment, maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity while adhering to company policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Enter source claim documents by reviewing and correcting data deficiencies
* Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in a production-paced environment
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and security protocols
* Meet individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data entered and complete tasks within deadlines
* Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet productivity goals
* Collaborate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
* Perform quality checks to ensure data integrity and compliance with contractual obligations
**Requirements**
* High school education or equivalent
* 1 year of experience in data entry or a related production-oriented field (preferred)
* Knowledge of recognition software and/or other data entry systems (preferred)
* Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word)
* Ability to key a minimum of 9,000 keystrokes per hour while maintaining a 99% accuracy rate
* Punctuality and attendance are critical in this position
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a healthcare or medical claims environment
* Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
