Develop and refine the collection plan, making recommendations for acquisitions and deaccessioning, and serving as liaison to the Collections Committee
Ensure the proper care and housing of the collection, including object handling, installation, and conservation
Develop interpretive materials, including wall texts, object labels, gallery guides, and online content, to engage and educate visitors
Collaborate with colleagues in education and marketing to develop and promote programs and events that contribute to the museum's mission
Participate in planning for the museum's expansion, including the development of new gallery space, storage, and community engagement initiatives
Serve as a vocal and visible leader and public spokesperson for the institution, promoting the museum and its programs to diverse audiences
Essential Qualifications
Master's degree in art history, museum studies, or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a museum or art-related field, with a proven track record of developing exhibitions and engaging interpretive materials
Strong knowledge of current trends in the curatorial field and a commitment to staying up-to-date with developments in the field
