Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Memorial Union Markets team member to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, maintaining store stock, and ensuring compliance with health code requirements and policies. Key Responsibilities

Ring up transactions at the registers and assist customers with a smile
Maintain store stock and replace/rotate as needed to ensure a seamless shopping experience
Help maintain health code requirements and policies to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our customers
Work collaboratively with a team to improve unit operations and workflow, ensuring seamless communication and a positive customer experience
Be knowledgeable in multiple MU Markets units (Peet's, Badger Market & Daily Scoop) to provide exceptional customer service and support
Be flexible and willing to work at 3 separate units in the Union (Peet's, Badger Market, and Daily Scoop), with the possibility of moving around depending on the shift


Essential Qualifications

Dedicated and self-starting employee with a flexible outlook and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work at least one weekend and one closing shift a week, with flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules
Food service techniques and knowledge are a plus, but not required


Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, sales, or retail environments
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time


Student Status
To be eligible for the Wisconsin Union positions, you must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or high school (at least 16). It is not permissible to hire a person as a student hourly employee if they are taking credits merely to be eligible for student hourly employment.
