Experienced Medical Records Data Entry Specialist – 12 Hour Overnight Shifts

**What You'll Do**
As a Medical Records Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
* Performing document preparation, including sorting, filing, and boxing records
* Scanning hard copy files to electronic images, ensuring a high-quality image
* Following production procedures and completing internal documentation and tracking
* Reviewing claim submissions and verifying information
* Recording and maintaining policies and claims information in database systems
* Complying with federal, state, and company regulation policies
* Communicating with insurance agents, beneficiaries, attorneys, patients, and hospital staff
* Preparing claim forms and related documentation for audits and/or mail-out

**Requirements**
* 1+ year of medical data entry experience
* 1+ year of medical front desk experience
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computer knowledge
* Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
* Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management
* Ability to remove staples, sort, file, and box records
* Ability to maintain record order and sequence
* Ability to understand the importance of detail and accuracy
* Ability to work at a sustained pace to meet production rates while producing quality work
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a medical records or data entry environment
* Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical billing software
* Certification in medical records or data entry (e.g., CMC, CMRS, or CDIP)
