We are seeking an experienced Medical Customer Service Representative to join our remote team, where you will play a vital role in helping patients navigate their financial responsibilities and providing exceptional customer service. **Job Summary:** As a Medical Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for assisting patients with understanding their financial responsibilities, resolving outstanding balances, and providing exceptional customer service. You will work in a fast-paced call center environment, adhering to standardized productivity goals and following established procedures to resolve patient account balances. If you are a goal-driven, hard-working individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Key Responsibilities:** * Help patients understand financial responsibility in a helpful and non-threatening manner * Take inbound and make outbound calls to patients regarding outstanding balances * Meet or exceed established metric goals * Follow established procedures to resolve patient account balances: + Identify consumer payment plans + Utilize call scripts provided + Set up consumer payments over the phone + Document all conversations electronically on company and/or client systems * Assist patients in determining eligibility for financial assistance programs and/or bank loans when applicable * Provide information to Client Services as needed * Understand and fully comply with all federal and state laws and regulations (HIPAA, Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse, etc.) regarding collections policies and procedures **Minimum Requirements:** * High School Diploma or equivalent * Willingness to submit for a background check * Characterize high integrity * Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment * Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance, and FDCPA * Experience with medical billing/claims processing * Proficient in PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel) * Time management and sound decision-making skills * Positive attitude and demonstrate teamwork * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills * Provide excellent customer service in a variety of situations, including those that escalate * Ability to use strong attention to detail and data management skills **What We Offer:** * Full comprehensive Paid Training Program (3+ weeks) * Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance * HSA and FSA available * 401(K) plans with company match * PTO and Paid holidays * Employer-paid life insurance and long-term disability * Internal company growth * Steady work schedule **Work Environment and Company Culture:** arenaflex is committed to creating a positive and supportive work atmosphere, where our employees feel valued and empowered to succeed.
