Experienced Medical Biller
Description Are you someone who thrives on precision and loves working with numbers? We’re looking for talented Medical Billing Specialists to join our team and make a significant impact on the financial vitality of our healthcare practice! Responsibilities: Bill primary and secondary claims. New accounts are scrubbed (all data is verified and confirmed that it is entered correctly) All claims are scrubbed to (ensure codes and # units are billed correctly) Electronic claims are batched and sent through the clearinghouse Rejected claims are checked, corrected and re-billed Paper claims are printed, along with any additional documentation and mailed Un-billable claims are sent back to FD with notes (regarding what is needed and that once received back, corrected claims are billed) Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for physical therapy services, including eligibility, copays, deductibles, and any pre-authorization requirements. Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to obtain and clarify insurance information. Ensure all insurance verification information is accurately documented in patient records and billing systems.
