Job Summary We're seeking an exceptional Math Instructor / Tutor to join our team in San Antonio, TX. As a Math Instructor / Tutor, you'll have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and skill levels, providing personalized instruction and guidance to help them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students within our center Become proficient with our digital educational materials and processes Assess student progress throughout instructional sessions and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate: A passion for math and working with students Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I (Ideal candidates will be proficient through Calculus II) The ability to work 2-3 shifts per week during center hours (Mon - Thursday 3:30 - 7:30 and Sat 10 am - 1 pm) A willingness to learn and be trained in our proprietary Mathnasium Method Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred: Previous experience working with students in a math education setting A degree in mathematics, education, or a related field Experience with digital educational materials and online learning platforms Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess: Strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs A patient and supportive approach to working with students A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality instruction Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Mathnasium, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop in their careers.
