As a Project Associate, you will be an integral part of this team, working alongside registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing experts to drive results. Key Responsibilities As a Project Associate at Blithequark, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that require attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your duties will include: Medical Record Retrieval: Access and retrieve patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Itemized Bill Preparation: Generate and prepare patient itemized bills in the appropriate formats for internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Data Extraction and Entry: Extract and enter necessary information from and to hospital patient accounting systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Communication with Healthcare Facilities: Make phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain necessary patient information, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reporting and Analysis: Run and create reports as needed, providing valuable insights to support the recovery team. Information Gathering and Data Entry: Assist with any other information gathering or data entry tasks as required by the recovery team, showcasing flexibility and adaptability. Document Management: Scan and index documents efficiently, maintaining organized and easily accessible records. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed as a Project Associate at Blithequark, you will need: Essential Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., health information management, business administration) preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with electronic health records (EHRs) or hospital patient accounting systems. Analytical and Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with healthcare professionals. Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare Experience: Previous experience in healthcare, health information management, or a related field. Certifications: Certification in health information technology (e.g., RHIT, RHIA) or a related area is a plus. Data Analysis: Experience with data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret and present data insights.
