**Key Responsibilities**

As a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Modern Design, Tasks, and cross-functional design groups, to conceptualize ideas and solutions for complex design challenges
* Creating, modeling, assessing, and investigating new designs to ensure they meet our high standards of performance, aesthetics, and manufacturability
* Leading design reviews and contributing to peer design reviews to ensure that our designs are of the highest quality
* Presenting your work to cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure that everyone is aligned and informed
* Producing detailed specifications and drawings to ensure that our designs are accurately communicated and implemented
* Working with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to enhance designs for manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness
* Directing failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Approving and describing designs through various iterations to ensure that they meet our high standards
* Developing deep technical expertise by taking designs from concept to production
* Ensuring that our designs meet corrective and functional requirements to deliver top-tier products to our customers

**Essential Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Designing or a related field
* Strong design fundamentals and high personal inspiration
* Design insight: exact mechanical instinct, imaginative critical thinking, curious nature, and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills: written, verbal, and visual. Ability to clearly communicate design ideas and concepts
* Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD
* Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and other relevant design methodologies
* Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
* Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment
* Ability to travel globally (up to 20%)

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Master's degree in Mechanical Designing or a related field
* Experience in design for sustainability and environmental impact
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
* Experience with design for additive manufacturing (DFAM)
* Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools
