About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Financial Data Analyst to join our growing Bookkeeping team at arenaflex. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional groups, drive key framework initiatives, and contribute to the development of our financial systems. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Technical Bookkeeping, Functional Bookkeeping, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other stakeholders on policies, processes, and projects, and help drive key framework initiatives and improvements
Design and plan comprehensive bookkeeping data requirements to facilitate the automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial cycles
Lead functional improvement initiatives to further streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close schedule
Monitor data quality of journal entries prepared via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases through bookkeeping requirements design, ad-hoc investigations, new product launches, etc.
Work with the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation analysis with the help of the analysis team
Review new product designs presented during internal Financial Compliance meetings and evaluate the impact on existing or need for new bookkeeping requirements for the Revenue Subledger
Cross-collaborate with collaborating teams on the journal entry streams for new or existing products for automation via the Revenue Subledger
Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including but not limited to: GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, accounts receivable reconciliations, review journal entries, and review close package expectations
Ad-hoc investigations and projects as assigned
Essential Qualifications
3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analysis, or business intelligence
Solid knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition required; knowledge of IFRS a plus
Intermediate/advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data, Python a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing environments
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
Knowledge of financial systems and accounting software
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages
Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
