As a Data Scientist at blithequark, you will use your quantitative expertise to mentor junior analysts and dive into large datasets for manual decision-making. Our team works on a wide range of exciting challenges, including client acquisition, fraud and support, marketing, balancing delivery and demand, new city launches, market efficiency, and more. **About the Role** As a Data Scientist at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to use your skills and expertise to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency. You will work closely with our engineering team to implement, document, validate, and deploy our logging, and collaborate with business leaders to understand market dynamics, customer behavior, and long-term trends. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior analysts and develop your leadership skills. **Key Responsibilities** * Use quantitative evaluation and data presentation to understand what drives our business * Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools * Work with and mentor junior analysts to develop more advanced techniques and solve complex problems * Produce insights and use statistical strategies and hypothesis testing to validate findings * Provide insights to business and product leaders to understand market dynamics, customer behavior, and long-term trends * Identify and measure levers to improve key metrics and make recommendations * Work backward from experience and sizing issues to ideate solutions * Report against our goals by identifying key metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track progress **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field * 4+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related role * Experience working with funnel optimization, customer segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, etc. * Expertise in SQL queries, ETL, A/B testing, and statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages, including Matlab, R, SAS, or Python * Proficiency in a single or multiple analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Chartio, Looker, Tableau) * The ability to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in a related field * Experience working with machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques * Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies * Experience working with agile development methodologies and version control systems * Certification in data science or a related field **Why You'll Love Working at blithequark** * We are leaders - Leadership isn't limited to our executive team.
