**About the Role**

As a Lead Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and enhancing data models that drive business growth and revenue. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales Analytics, Finance, Business Operations, Commerce Product, and Engineering, to develop and deploy models that tackle complex challenges such as revenue, inventory, delivery, outcome, pricing, and more.

Your expertise will be instrumental in driving experimentation and testing to optimize model performance, and you'll collaborate with engineering teams to produce and deploy models. You'll also be responsible for developing and visualizing complex data insights, communicating results to both technical and non-technical audiences, and driving business impact through data-driven decision-making.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Design, build, and enhance data models to drive business growth and revenue
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy models that tackle complex challenges
* Develop and visualize complex data insights to inform business decisions
* Collaborate with engineering teams to produce and deploy models
* Drive experimentation and testing to optimize model performance
* Communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Develop and implement data architecture and data governance strategies
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform data strategy and innovation

**Requirements**

* Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Statistics)
* 7+ years of experience designing, building, and comparing realistic systems getting to know solutions
* 7+ years of experience with statistical programming languages (e.g. Python, Spark, PySpark) and database languages (e.g. SQL)
* Strong analytical skills, superior level of data knowledge
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker) and data exploration tools (e.g. Jupyter, Databricks)

**Nice-to-Haves**

* Doctorate's degree in a quantitative field
* Strong knowledge of Bayesian modeling and probabilistic programming applications (e.g. PyMC)
* Familiarity with data structures and programs (e.g. Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Airflow, Github)
* Experience with A/B testing and other testing types
* Demonstrated ability to choose the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem
* Experience with data governance and data architecture
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor team members
