As a key member of our data analytics and science team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data systems and applications. You'll work closely with our data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to drive business growth and innovation. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and sharing best practices to ensure a culture of continuous learning and development. * Stay up-to-date with current software practices through code reviews and participate in design discussions to ensure alignment with arenaflex's technical vision. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data systems and applications that meet business needs. * Develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures using cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. * Design and implement data models and reporting structures using data warehousing and business intelligence tools. * Ensure data quality, security, and performance by collaborating with data governance and security teams. * Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their relevance to arenaflex's business needs. * Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and innovation. * Develop and maintain documentation for data systems and applications, including data models, reporting structures, and data pipelines. * Participate in technical leadership discussions, lunch and learn sessions, and design reviews to share knowledge and best practices with the engineering community. **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Science, or related field. * 15+ years of experience in data engineering and science, with a strong background in cloud-based technologies. * 5+ years of experience in leadership or senior roles, with a proven track record of successfully guiding and leading teams. * 5+ years of experience working with cloud-based technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. * Strong understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence tools, including data modeling, reporting, and data visualization. * Experience with large-scale data systems and applications, including data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses. * Strong SQL skills, with experience working with relational databases and NoSQL databases. * Experience with data governance and security, including data quality, data privacy, and data security. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams. **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Science, or related field. * Industry certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer. * Experience in retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, or supply chain management. * Strong understanding of data science and machine learning concepts, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model deployment. * Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js. * Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines. **What We Offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Opportunity to work with a global leader in retail. * Collaborative and dynamic work environment. * Professional development and growth opportunities. * Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options. * Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools. * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance. **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and talented individual who is passionate about data engineering and science, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
