The role involves providing clients with objective advice on M&A and corporate financing alternatives, focusing on financial data analysis, preparing financial models, and supporting business development initiatives.ResponsibilitiesSupport and execute M&A and corporate finance engagementsAnalyze financial data and identify key trends behind the performance of a businessPrepare financial models and cash flow scenariosConduct research and drive analyses, marketing presentations, and information memorandaHelp develop team members ensuring their career developmentSkillsA bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 1-2 years of related work experienceInvestment banking experienceExisting Series 7 and/or 79 plus Series 63 securities licenses (in good standing)Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including the ability to exercise sound independent judgmentA proven record of excellence in investment banking specific to mergers, acquisitions and capital marketsStrong working knowledge of Excel to develop financial models, knowledge of pivot tables and using excel for in-depth modelingEfficient use of research databases, technical ability to manipulate dataExcellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of the organizationYou must either reside in or be at a commutable distance to your office location for this positionThe ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
