Job Summary
We are seeking hardworking, motivated, and energetic individuals to work in our wood pallet logistics site. The positions available under General Warehouse Laborer are Pallet Sorter (manual), Box Sorter, RPC Sorter, and Material Handler. As a Forklift Operator/General Warehouse Laborer, you will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to move pallets into trailers, as well as performing various tasks related to material handling and logistics. This is an entry-level position, and we will provide training and certification on-site for individuals with no prior forklift experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down forklift to move pallets into trailers
Perform various tasks related to material handling and logistics, including pallet sorting, box sorting, and RPC sorting
Ensure accuracy of load sheets and complete daily inspections of forklift and checklist
Follow all safety policies and procedures, and report any incidents or concerns to management
Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
Work Schedule
We offer a variety of shifts to accommodate different schedules and preferences. Our shifts include:
A1 Shift: 5am to 3:30pm (Sunday thru Wednesday)
A2 Shift: 4pm-2:30am (Sunday thru Wednesday)
B1 Shift: 5am-3:30pm (Wednesday thru Saturday)
B2 Shift: 4pm-2:30am (Wednesday thru Saturday)
Requirements
No prior forklift experience necessary; we will train and certify on-site
Must be 18 years of age to work in a warehouse
Must be able to lift 70-100 pounds throughout the day
Essential Functions Statement(s)
As a Forklift Operator/General Warehouse Laborer, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring accuracy of load sheets
Completing daily inspections of forklift and checklist
Following all safety policies and procedures
Reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules are subject to change to meet company needs and business requirements
Skills & Abilities
We are looking for individuals who possess the following skills and abilities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift 70-100 pounds throughout the day
Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
Education and Experience
We prefer candidates who have:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1 year of experience in a warehouse or material handling environment (preferred)
1 year of experience lifting 75lbs (preferred)
