Our team of dedicated professionals is passionate about delivering exceptional results, and we're looking for like-minded individuals to join our team. **Job Summary** We're seeking an Experienced Data Entry Clerk to join our team on an overnight shift. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient, physician, and specimen information into our system. You will also be responsible for receiving and reconciling specimens from courier, sorting medical samples by product line or specimen type, and accessing medical specimens and test requisitions. **Key Responsibilities** * Receive and reconcile specimens from courier * Sort medical samples by product line or specimen type for laboratory testing * Order-enter patient, physician, and specimen information accurately and efficiently * Accession (number) all medical specimens (jars, tubes, slides), test requisition, and all other paper information provided for both histology, cytology, and third-party reference laboratories * Scan requisition into OnBase system for company-wide access via website * Identify samples that are not processed in-house, but are forwarded to a third-party reference laboratory (Send Out) * Identify and confirm patient identity and specimen integrity * Capable of processing send-back and confirmation specimens * Good problem-solving skills needed * Identify and apply client-specific instructions on a case-by-case basis * Other duties as directed by the supervisor and/or department's manager on a daily basis **Requirements** * High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience * Minimum of six (6) months data entry experience * Successful completion of a pre-employment computerized data entry test and basic skills test * Successful completion of an Online Medical Terminology Program upon commencement of employment * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines * Excellent communication and customer service skills **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting * Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures * Experience with data entry software and systems * Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture **What We Offer** * Competitive hourly rate: $16.50 to $22.00 per hour (depending on experience) * Benefits-eligible position * Opportunities for career growth and professional development * Collaborative and inclusive work environment * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance * Comprehensive training and support to ensure success in the role **Work Environment** * Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a team of dedicated professionals * Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives * Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices * Contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
