Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Entry and Customer Service Representative to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our Veterinary Support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, handling prescription orders, and maintaining accurate records. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Connecting with veterinary clinics to obtain prescription approvals, resolve customer issues, and clarify order requests
Analyzing and troubleshooting issues to determine appropriate solutions for clients and center partners, and following up on a case-by-case basis to resolve issues
Completing data entry of prescriptions into our healthcare software with precision and accuracy
Maintaining a high level of quality through data entry and order processing of veterinary pharmacy orders
Working with empathy, attention, patience, compassion, and kindness to clients and partners alike
Communicating with veterinary clinics via phone (and occasionally other channels on a case-by-case basis) using our internal program and systems to navigate arrangements and record center note accounts
Expecting a significant portion of the typical business day to be outbound veterinary clinic/client phone contacts
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
2 years of experience working in a customer or healthcare-focused environment
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
Ability to multitask (e.g., chat on the phone while navigating on the computer and taking notes)
Work with ownership, be a self-starter, and demonstrate attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
High school education or equivalent
Ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License from the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy where applicable
Critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt to change according to the business needs of the organization
Flexibility to adjust schedule and work overtime as needed by the specialty unit
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information
Ability to pass a background check
