Job Overview The Data Engineering team at blithequark is responsible for partnering with various stakeholders to develop and sustain innovative projects, including data pipeline and database engineering services. We are currently seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development and maintenance of products for our Media business. As a Data Engineer at blithequark, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based data pipelines, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data assets. Key Responsibilities Gather and document data requirements, source-to-target mapping, and data validation scripting and review Design, develop, and monitor ETL/ELT data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity Plan and execute database schema/tables/views, and deliver datasets as input to science models and representations Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Engineering, and Product stakeholders, to ensure seamless data integration and workflow Utilize various technologies, including SQL (primarily Snowflake and PostgreSQL), Python, Docker, Gitlab, and Windstream, to satisfy job requirements Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance Proven expertise and proficiency in using Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake) Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code management/development Experience creating and maintaining automated job schedulers Solid understanding of relational database design and functionality Preferred Qualifications Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, ideally AWS Experience managing and deploying code using a source control system like GitLab/GitHub Experience using Docker Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
