**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
* Answering incoming calls and assisting callers with inquiries, including:
+ New business (quotation/payment status)
+ Renewals (payment/issuance status)
+ Endorsements (processing status/evidence of insurance requests)
+ Inspections
+ Deficiency letters
+ Cancellations/non-renewals
+ CEA (payment/policy/quotation status)
* Performing daily assigned work with primary emphasis on call center activities
* Researching and resolving customer or broker questions/problems
* Handling agency licensing tasks (registering new brokers, address changes, agency mergers, etc.)
* Following up with other departments to resolve problem files
* Inputting data in a desktop database for all incoming calls
* Assisting customers at the front desk when necessary
* Distributing faxes and other correspondence to the department
* Facilitating the processing of evidence of insurance requests as required
* Participating in individual and group training designed to improve service
* Performing additional duties or special projects as assigned
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* High school diploma and basic computer skills
* 1 year of insurance experience (coverage knowledge) and customer service/call center experience
* Good communication skills with emphasis on phone skills
* Good interpersonal skills (both internal and external) and the ability to work well in a team environment
* Ability to perform slightly varied moderately complex tasks
* Occasional decision-making and judgment
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Sound decision-making skills
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
