As a remote Customer Service Representative based in Michigan, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to ensuring the seamless processing of specialty medications. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional telephone support to patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve complex issues and address concerns in a timely and compassionate manner. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. Collaborate with internal partners to ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner, meeting financial and clinical expectations prior to fulfillment. Utilize superb communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners, resolving complex issues and addressing concerns. Essential Qualifications One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude. Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare work experience, with familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology. Knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures, with experience working in a fast-paced environment. Skills and Competencies Required for Success To excel in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams. You'll also require strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely and compassionate manner. Additionally, you'll need to be proficient in Windows-based applications and have excellent keyboarding skills.
