About the Role We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team, providing timely response and resolution to inquiries on account balances of the uninsured and underinsured patients, as well as other patient out-of-pocket expenses related to co-insurance and deductibles. This position will be working in person, onsite at our arenaflex Business Center Campus in Edina, Minnesota, with the opportunity to transition to fully remote work in the future. Key Responsibilities: Respond to initial patient-family requests and provide detailed explanations of patient billing information Resolve patient-family questions and perform follow-up on outstanding concerns Collaborate with other departments to research patient billing history Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, both orally and in writing, to patients, families, and other external and internal contacts Work effectively with a wide variety of PC applications and systems, including computer, applications, and phone systems Maintain knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards and PCI compliance regulations Utilize basic knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and families Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience 3-5 years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other stakeholders Working knowledge of billing and follow-up processes, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and a heavy workload in a high-stress atmosphere Flexibility to perform other tasks as needed in an active work environment with changing work needs High-level problem-solving, analytical, and investigational skills, with the ability to learn quickly and meet continuous timelines Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a pediatric healthcare setting Knowledge of medical terminology and billing processes Experience with electronic health records and other healthcare software systems Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development, both personally and professionally.
