We're seeking an experienced Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. As a remote position, you'll handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988. You'll answer crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to meet individual needs. You'll also conduct follow-up calls for individuals deemed moderate to high risk for suicide and meet the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** * Provides telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments * Answers crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs * Conducts follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide * Meets the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation * Actively participates in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings * Assist in administrative tasks as needed **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** * Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods * Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette * Demonstrates knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources * Knowledge of suicide assessments * Skill in providing crisis intervention **Work Environment & Culture** As a remote position, you'll have the flexibility to work from home while still being part of a dynamic and supportive team. arenaflex is committed to creating a workplace that reflects the growing world around us, where everyone feels empowered, safe, and welcomed.
