About the Job As an Atlan Administrator, you will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to maintain an efficient, secure, and user-friendly data catalog environment. Your primary responsibilities will include: Key Responsibilities Platform Administration: Manage and maintain the Atlan platform, including user accounts, permissions, and integrations with various data sources. Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards. Collaboration Enablement: Facilitate team collaboration by creating and managing metadata workflows, tags, and custom attributes within Atlan. Performance Optimization: Monitor platform performance and usage, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain a smooth user experience. Integration Management: Configure and maintain integrations between Atlan and other data tools (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Tableau, Looker). Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to users, troubleshoot issues, and deliver training to empower teams to leverage Atlan effectively. Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with Atlan features and updates, and recommend enhancements to optimize platform utilization. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications: Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Proven experience as an Atlan Administrator or in a similar role managing data catalog platforms. Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage. Technical Expertise: Familiarity with data tools like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, Tableau, Looker, etc. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python). Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud-based platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices in data security. Atlan certification or training is a plus.
