Tutor Position Details We are looking for energetic and positive individuals to work as tutors, also known as clinicians, in our Lindamood-Bell Learning Center in Fairfax, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a positive impact on the lives of students. Prior teaching experience is not required, and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group instruction to students of all ages, implementing specific lesson plans under the direction of Learning Center leadership Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment Manage client records electronically using a computer Implement positive-reinforcement strategies that maximize learning, in a cheerful and authentic manner Possess excellent reading, spelling, and comprehension skills, and basic computer skills Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred, but Associate's degree, Early Childhood Education certificate, or actively pursuing a degree is acceptable Passion for helping others reach their potential and a commitment to providing high-quality education Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Monday - Friday availability, with flexibility to work part-time or full-time schedules Preferred Qualifications: Teaching or tutoring experience Experience working with students with learning challenges or disabilities Familiarity with educational software and technology Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, we believe in investing in our employees and providing opportunities for growth and development.
