Retirement Plan Consultant (Plan Transitions & New Business)
About the position
Manage a select group of qualified and nonqualified retirement plan conversions, which may include all aspects of plan on-boarding to NWPS systems, overseeing conversion time-lines, trust accounting, participant notices, plan documents, and data wrangling. Continuously gain knowledge of the retirement plan industry through ongoing education. Job Description An in-office, three-day-a-week hybrid schedule for a candidate local to one of our offices is preferred. A candidate who is not geographically close to one of our locations can be considered for fully remote work if this candidate has retirement plan onboarding expertise.
Responsibilities
β’ Manage a select group of retirement plan conversions
β’ Responsible for all aspects of plan conversions
β’ Drafting participant notices and service agreements
β’ Perform project tasks independently, and direct the efforts of others
β’ Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues
β’ Prepare and review deliverables for accuracy and quality
β’ Plan and participate in client conversion meetings
β’ Manage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiences
Requirements
β’ Excellent problem solving including an ability to independently research and determine strategies to solve client needs
β’ Experience fostering client relationships
β’ Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office and established databases
β’ Providing excellent customer service
β’ Critical thinking
β’ Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
β’ Prioritize, work independently and drive tasks to completion
β’ Lead project teams and function with multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently
β’ Handle multiple ongoing projects
β’ Knowledge of the Relius recordkeeping system
β’ Bachelorβs Degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in financial services. OR Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience approved by Human Resources.
