Navigation Residency - Algorithms The SandboxAQ Quantum Navigation team is deploying cutting-edge solutions to enable GPS-free navigation using the Earth's magnetic field. We're looking for a talented Navigation Resident to join our dynamic team! The resident will work on projects in state estimation, navigation filters, and software development, collaborating closely with Scientists/Engineers, and possessing strong critical thinking skills. Key Responsibilities: Work on projects in state estimation, navigation filters, and software development Collaborate closely with Scientists/Engineers on the Quantum Navigation team Develop and implement state-of-the-art algorithms for GPS-free navigation using the Earth's magnetic field Contribute to the development of software tools and technologies for navigation and state estimation Present findings and research to the rest of Sandbox AQ Eligibility: Currently enrolled in a STEM PhD or Masters Degree program in a relevant field, such as Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics, Mechanical Engineering, Navigation, Robotics, or Autonomy Proficiency with Python programming language Strong foundation in state estimation, statistics, and software development Experience with Kalman Filters and its derivatives Knowledge of magnetic navigation is preferred What to Expect: Work on a technical project with scientists and engineers on one of our core teams Engagement with fellow residents and opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing Competitive compensation and benefits package Present findings to the rest of Sandbox AQ and contribute to the company's mission Opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and innovative environment Company Culture and Benefits SandboxAQ is committed to creating an inclusive culture where we have zero tolerance for discrimination.
