Job Overview and Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Agent, you will play a vital role in demonstrating Delta's dedication to our customers by making their travel experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Your primary responsibilities will include handling all aspects of work related to ticketing and making reservations for passengers, as well as assisting with luggage check-in and ensuring that flights depart on time. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, greeting them, assessing their needs, and directing them to the relevant services.

Handle all aspects of labor related to ticketing and making reservations for passengers
Assist with luggage check-in and ensure that flights depart on time
Proactively greet customers, assess their needs, and explain Delta's available technology alternatives
Positively influence customers' use of airport technology to ensure a better, faster, and friendlier airport experience
Display a positive image of Delta and maintain a professional attitude at all times
Keep customers informed while ensuring service delivery
Efficiently coordinate with internal resources while working under pressure and time constraints to dispatch flights on time


Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications and requirements:

High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency
Embrace diversity and be open to different perspectives and ideas
Prioritize safety and security, both for yourself and others
Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling personal data
Be fluent in English, both spoken and written
Be at least 18 years of age
Have the ability to frequently lift baggage or items weighing up to 50 pounds
Possess basic computer skills and be able to type at least 30 words per minute
Have strong verbal and written communication skills, using proper grammar, tone, and pronunciation
Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays


Preferred Qualifications and Competitive Edge
While not essential, the following qualifications and skills will give you a competitive edge in this role:

Experience and/or education in ticketing is preferred
Previous customer service experience, particularly in the airline industry
Knowledge of airline operations and procedures
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
