Executive Assistant 1 - Inventory (Hybrid - Seattle, WA)
Nordstrom is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant 1 to support the SVP of Inventory. The role focuses on calendar management, meeting coordination, and providing operational support to ensure leadership effectiveness.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end calendar management for the SVP of Inventory, including proactive prioritization, preparation, and coordination of meetings and eventsActively assess meeting purpose, participants, and timing to ensure the leaderās time is aligned to top prioritiesAnticipate conflicts, identify tradeāoffs, and recommend solutions before issues arisePartner with other Executive Assistants to align calendars across senior leaders and ensure seamless schedulingCoordinate the rhythm of the business for Inventory Operations ā understanding the standing team meetings and ensuring that each meeting is scheduled at the right cadence, with the right attendeesPrepare agendas and preāreads as needed; ensure the right materials and context are available in advanceSupport largeāscale meetings (e.g., leadership forums, All Hands, planning sessions) through material creation, scheduling, logistics, and coordinationCoordinate travel plans, including itinerary creation, adjustments, and expense reconciliationManage expenses, invoices, and administrative processes with accuracy and timelinessMaintain accurate organizational charts and distribution lists for Inventory Operations teamsBuild strong working relationships with Executive Assistants across Inventory, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Product, Tech, and OperationsServe as a trusted connector and information hub, ensuring smooth communication and collaborationContribute to continuous improvement of EA best practices, rhythms, and operating standardsSkillsDemonstrated experience in an administrative or executive support role, ideally supporting senior leadersExceptional calendar management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize, anticipate needs, and manage complexityStrong attention to detail and followāthrough; you reliably close loops and keep work movingHigh degree of proactiveness and task velocity ā you see what needs to be done and actExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with leaders at all levelsStrong organizational and timeāmanagement skills, with the ability to juggle multiple prioritiesExperience leveraging AI tools and technologies to streamline workflows and increase throughput, driving greater efficiency and productivitySound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive informationProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and ExcelA serviceāoriented mindset and commitment to enabling leaders and teams to do their best workBenefitsMedical/Vision, Dental, Retirement and Paid Time AwayLife Insurance and DisabilityMerchandise Discount and EAP Resources401kMedical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance optionsPTO accrualsHolidaysCompany OverviewNordstrom is an online fashion retailer that specializes in fashion, footwear, accessories, and beauty.
