ESL US History and Human Geography Instructors - Remote/Online Maine Central Institute, an independent town academy founded in 1866, is looking for experienced online ESL teachers... Format: weekly 90 minute live (synchronous) lessons on Google Classroom/Meet Frequency: each class meets once a week (candidates may apply to teach more than one class) Lesson start time: 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time, USA) Students: high-achieving native Mandarin-speaking secondary students Class size: 6-12 students ESL level: high beginner, intermediate or advanced Homework: teachers will assign and assess weekly homework assignments Curriculum: MCI will provide general guidelines and desired outcomes but teachers are granted a large degree of instructional autonomy Class start date: September 8, 2024 Location: fully remote Compensation: $2,500 per class Responsibilities: • Provide instruction to small groups of students in a virtual classroom • Establish an engaging classroom atmosphere • Monitor and document student progress Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree • ESL Teaching Experience • Teaching experience • Online teaching experience • Enthusiasm and passion for teaching English language learners To apply for this position please email your resume and a brief introduction to [email protected] Check More Online Tutoring Jobs Apply tot his job
