English/Japanese Financial Translator - Part Time ; Remote
Position: English / Japanese Financial Translator - Part Time Contract (100% Remote) American Asset Management company in New York seeks a Japanese / English Translator to support the VP Client Service Department located remotely from Japan in the following tasks: • RFP writing in Japanese (mostly translation, creating and maintaining a Japanese – English RFP answers database) • Client reporting (quarterly) in English and Japanese (downloading data from internal tools, filling out client format in Excel and Word) • Other client service support in Japanese (reviewing 3rd party translations, etc.) Requirements: • Excellent business writing skills in Japanese and English, with translation proficiency between the two languages (E to J / J to E). • Financial translation experience in the Asset Management field is preferred. • 1-2 years of reporting or middle/back office experience at an Asset Management company is preferred. Attention to detail is critical. • Number of hours: 100 hours in a Quarter End (Part Time work). • The assignment is part-time contract-based, paid in US dollars (wired monthly).
