Engineering Manager

The TeamAs Deliveroo scales rapidly, we’re looking for Engineering Managers to lead, build, and grow teams of world-class engineers. Our teams are solving unique and difficult problems and you will be responsible for their technical execution and impact through ambiguity.We're looking for Engineering Managers to manage both local and remote teams, with management experience at all levels of experience, from managing one or two teams to leading at a group level.This role is based in our London HQ office, with the requirement to be in the office at least 3 days a week. You will report into a Senior Engineering Manager or Engineering Director.The role:The tech is ground breaking, ability to work on brand new AI tools, premium builder tools and solve some really challenging problems for our customers by providing the best possible customer experienceTo do this role effective an understanding or interest in AI tooling - OpenAI in particularIf you consider yourself a self starter then this role is perfect for youLiaise with a number of product designers, managers in addition to engineering managers and engineers themselves to achieve the right solution and the right outcomes Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors Contribute to project goals and continue to support and mentor your teamEnable your team to hit targets for group-level goals and metricsContribute to code reviews and be willing to write code, if neededBuild dashboards (DataDog, snowflake, looker, etc), if neededGrow a diverse, accomplished group of engineers, gaining fantastic exposure to scaling a tech team at a unique paceCreate a learning environment for your team and act as a mentor for engineers and up-and-coming leadersBecome instrumental in improving and implementing processes and values that scaleProvide technical mentorship to engineers building and deploying large-scale projects internationallyWork with teams across product, design, operations, and moreWhy DeliverooOur mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders.
