Empower Director

The empower director is a vital strategic leader charged with fulfilling the heart of MWEG’s mission: empowering women to be powerful, peaceful, and independent political actors. This is a role for a top-level communicator and strategist who can translate complex political and ethical concepts into high-level messaging that resonates with both our membership and external partners. You aren't just managing programs; you are providing thought leadership and shaping the way women of faith show up in the world as ambassadors of peace and principled citizens. Reporting directly to the co-executive director, you will oversee the managers of three key program areas: media literacy, principled citizenship, and civic engagement. You will thrive in this role if you are a "leader of leaders" — someone who can provide mentorship and training to direct reports while ensuring our collaborative teams of employees, contractors, and volunteers stay aligned with our strategic plan. You will work at the highest levels of the organization, collaborating closely with the directors of communications, communities, and advocacy to prioritize the flow of content and programming. This role also serves as a bridge-builder, developing and maintaining relationships with external organizations in a wide variety of fields. This role requires extensive familiarity with MWEG’s history, mission, and voice, as well as a deep commitment to MWEG’s core values, including a clear understanding of the doctrines and values of the LDS faith and our principles of nonpartisanship.
