Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Responsibilities:

Responds to select medical and traumatic emergencies along with responding to select hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes to provide inter-facility transfers. Provides emergency medical care at the scene, enroute to the hospital, and during transportation from facility-to-facility.

Performs emergency medical care as appropriate within the scope of a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Delivers the patient to the nearest most appropriate medical facility. Adheres to Company, local, regional, and state guidelines regarding patient care.

Performs basic life support procedures while working with Paramedics, nurses, or other health care providers. Performs other duties related to emergency and non-emergency medical care and development of the Emergency Medical System (EMS).

Requirements:

? High school diploma or equivalent
? California Certified EMT
? Valid California Driver's License
? Acceptable Driving Record
? California DMV H-6
? American Heart Association BLS (CPR)
? Los Angeles Expanded Scope of Practice
? California Ambulance Driver Certificate (Driver's Only)
? Driver Medical Examiner's Certificate (Driver's Only)
? Must be eligible for a Los Angeles DOT Permit
