Overview

I’m looking for a DJ or music curator to create custom workout mixes that are precisely aligned to structured interval workouts.

The goal is to match musical energy, tempo, intensity, and emotional drive to perceived physical effort, not just BPM for the sake of BPM.

This requires interpreting the intensity of intervals in a musical way.

You do not need to be a passionate exercise fanatic — I will provide a clear, musician-friendly explanation of the different interval intensities.

Inputs I Will Provide

My Spotify library (source material only — you curate from it)

Specific list with desired artists and songs

A detailed interval workout structure

What I’m Looking For Musically

You will design a continuous, intentional arc that mirrors physical stress:

Interval A

Calm, controlled, low-intensity, minimal urgency

Interval B

Steady, hypnotic, flowing, forward-moving

Interval C

Purposeful, confident, slightly tense

Interval D

Driving, focused, emotionally intense but controlled

Interval E

Aggressive, urgent, high-energy, “edge of control”

Interval F & G (if included)

Explosive, maximal, no restraint

The music should feel like the effort, not just hit a BPM target.

Deliverables

Three different continuous DJ mixes / sets (not a playlist) that are roughly 60-75 min each, structured to match a specific interval workout

Professional DJ-style mixing throughout, including:

- Beatmatching and smooth tempo transitions

- Clean phrasing and harmonic (key-aware) mixing

- Thoughtful EQing and blending between tracks

Strong energy management and storytelling, similar to a live DJ set

Intentional transitions between intervals:

- Clear musical build-ups going into hard efforts

- High-intensity drops aligned with the start of work intervals

- Controlled releases during recoveries

Final delivery as a single continuous mixed audio file (WAV or high-quality MP3)

This project is about a DJ performance aligned to physical effort — transitions, build-ups, and drops matter as much as the tracks themselves.
