Electrical Engineering
Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems ā from circuit analysis to power systems ā making a real impact on the future of intelligent technology.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed to fit around your existing schedule.
⢠Organization: Alignerr
⢠Type: Hourly Contract
⢠Location: Remote
⢠Commitment: 10ā40 hours/week
What You'll Do
⢠Design Technical Challenges ā Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, and electromagnetics to rigorously test AI performance
⢠Author Ground-Truth Solutions ā Develop precise, step-by-step solutions and benchmark responses that AI systems use as the gold standard for learning
⢠Audit AI Outputs ā Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, and others)
⢠Improve AI Reasoning ā Identify logical errors and flawed assumptions in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured, actionable feedback to improve model performance
⢠Stress-Test Model Limits ā Probe AI systems on topics like embedded systems, control systems, VLSI, and simulations to expose failure modes and help harden model reasoning
Who You Are
⢠Currently pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
⢠Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains ā VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or similar
⢠Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and concisely in written English
⢠Exceptionally precise when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
⢠Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on your own schedule
⢠No prior AI or machine learning experience required
Nice to Have
⢠Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation systems
⢠Familiarity with engineering simulation tools or hardware description languages
⢠Background in reviewing or authoring technical documentation to professional standards
Why Join Us
⢠Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs and teams
⢠Fully remote and async ā work when and where it suits you
⢠Gain rare behind-the-scenes exposure to how advanced large language models are trained and evaluated
⢠Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration with experts across disciplines
⢠Potential for ongoing work and contract extension based on performance
