Drupal Developer (Contract | Part-Time)

Remote Full-time
Position Type: This role will begin as a part-time contract (1099) position working up to 20 hours per week, with the potential to transition to a full-time employee (W2) role after approximately six months if there is mutual interest.

Please Note: To best support our clients and teams, this role is open to candidates who are based in the United States. Because we work closely with partners across the U.S., being located domestically helps us stay connected and collaborative.

About us

KH + Madden is an independent marketing agency formed through the strategic partnership of Karsh Hagan and Madden Media. By blending bold creative storytelling with high-performing media, PR, GEO, and data-driven strategy, the agency helps ambitious brands close the gap between how they are seen and how they are felt-building genuine connections through moments that move people, brands, and places forward.

About You

You're an experienced Drupal developer who enjoys building and maintaining thoughtful, high-performing websites. You have a strong understanding of Drupal development and modern web technologies, and you're comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a broader team. You're proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to deliver quality work without heavy oversight.

You stay current on modern website development practices and enjoy solving technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. You communicate well, adapt quickly, and are eager to contribute to projects that help travelers discover destinations across the United States. Ideally, you are located on the East Coast or able to work hours that align with that time zone.

About the Job

We're looking for a Part-Time Drupal Developer who is excited about creating engaging websites with lasting impact. This role will support both new and existing client projects, with a strong focus on Drupal development and ongoing website enhancements.

You'll collaborate with designers, strategists, and developers to help build and maintain websites that deliver exceptional user experiences across desktop and mobile devices.

On a nitty-gritty level, we are looking for the following:

Experience developing and customizing websites in Drupal 10/11

Strong understanding of Drupal architecture, theming, and module development

Proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming principles

Experience integrating third-party APIs and web services

Experience with Drupal Canvas

Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery

Understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first development

Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases

Ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize website performance

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a part-time capacity

What You'll Get from Us

We see your success as our success. When you join our team, you'll get:

Opportunities to grow your skillset through training, new challenges, and learning experiences.

A team that's got your back and is ready to help you thrive.

A workplace culture that values intelligence, ambition, authenticity, and a willingness to learn.

No hoops to jump through about degrees or specific experience-we care about what you can do and what you bring to the table.

Don't Meet Every Requirement?

That's okay! At KH + Madden, we believe diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences make us stronger. If this role excites you but your skillset doesn't line up perfectly with the qualifications above, we still want to hear from you. Who knows-you might bring something to the table we didn't even know we needed.

About the Interview Process

We like to keep it simple and transparent. Here's what the process may look like:

Round 1: A friendly chat with our Recruiter to get to know you and share more about the role.

Round 2: An interview with the team you'll collaborate with.

Note: Depending on the position, there might be a small assignment along the way to showcase your skills and creativity. Don't worry-we'll let you know in advance!

Heads up: At this time, we do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation services.
