About the role
The Top Creator Strategist role will be responsible for developing ShopMy's approach to helping our top performing creators grow their earnings on ShopMy, further securing ShopMy as the platform of choice for top creators looking to monetize their social influence. This individual will sit within Creator Insights, a sub-division of ShopMy's Creator Experience business unit. The individual will develop and communicate data-driven strategies for our top performing creators in ways that align with their goals, enhancing the overall value they gain from being leading creators ShopMy.
The role will involve qualitative and quantitative data analysis, industry research, creative thinking and providing consultative feedback. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, is a strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, and a background in consulting, creator strategy or affiliate marketing. Exceptional problem-solving, communication and creative skills are essential to deliver effective and thought-provoking strategies that enhance ShopMy's top creators' performance.
Roles and responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of ShopMy's top performing creators, their underlying goals, audience behavior on the platforms they share affiliate links, and the challenges they are facing in accelerating their growth on ShopMy
Formulate a strategy to actively gather insights from top creators using mixed methods, such as in-person sessions, surveys and database queries
Conduct analysis of sales data to rigorously understand how top creators are performing and uncover the underlying drivers of performance
Build relationships with top creators, acting as a trusted advisor for formulating their monetization strategy on ShopMy
Stay on top of trends on the platforms ShopMy's top creators are using to understand the shopper experience on these platforms, and provide guidance on how to better optimize their conversion
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Creator Relations, Creator Support, Affiliate, Product & Engineering and Creator Education to align top creator strategy with broader company objectives
Establish and monitor key performance indicators that measure the effectiveness of your strategies, such as cohort Gross Merchandise Value growth, refining strategies in response to the data gathered
Our non-negotiables .
Proven experience (6+ years) as an analyst, strategist or consultant, with responsibility in developing data-driven strategies that drive revenue growth
Proven experience (2+ years) writing queries at intermediate-to-advanced level in SQL, or a similar database query language
Demonstrated ability to think creatively, as well as the ability to transform ideas into reality, executing and effectively driving results
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in simple terms
Passion for the creator economy and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by creators
Comfort using learning & enablement technology (Canva, Figma, Microsoft Suite, Google Docs, Loom)
