Director, Procurement

The director will have experience with streamlining processes to create efficiency and gain visibility and insight into overall spend. To be successful, the director will work cross-functionally to prioritize opportunities, achieve process improvement and add business value through exceptional collaboration. Core Job Duties Establish and maintain the global sourcing strategy for the company Partner internally to develop a process for vendor on-boarding, purchase order origination, contract negotiations, and invoice approval Seek out strategic business partners and consolidate vendors to create a more efficient purchasing experience to drive business value Organize, understand and report on variable spend trends and target opportunities to optimize Identify vendor renewals, proactively engage and utilize purchasing strategies to improve contract value Implement customer-friendly systems in support of the procurement function to increase efficiency, improve process and scale through automation Develop procurement KPIs to report and measure performance and opportunity Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated ability to implement and build efficient process Strong negotiation skills with the ability to review and understand complex contracts Proven ability to work with team members from all groups within the organization to assist with purchasing requirements Strategic partner with the ability to present and train teams/individuals when needed Independent thinker who can execute and illustrate value through ROI analysis and other performance measures 10+ years of procurement experience Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of direct experience, with 8+ years of leadership experience.
