Organizational OverviewLeadership Roundtable is a responsive and innovative partner to Catholic leaders in the areas of management and leadership development. We provide custom support to implement comprehensive managerial best practices, while also supporting the development of current and future leaders. We do this so that the Church and Catholic entities can more effectively serve and amplify their mission.Leadership Roundtable Mission: In partnership with lay, ordained, and religious leaders and organizations across all sectors of the Catholic community in the United States and Rome, Leadership Roundtable support the Church by elevating and implementing best practices in management and leadership to establish a culture of co-responsible, servant leadership for a healthy, thriving Church in the U.S. Position OverviewThe Director of Special Projects is a dynamic, utility-player role designed to support Leadership Roundtable's most critical organizational priorities.The Director of Special Projects will have a dual reporting line to both the Senior Director and the Executive Partner. As such, s/he will serve as the central operational liaison for executive leadership — helping to coordinate key workstreams, facilitate communication and follow-through, and ensure the affairs of the executive team run smoothly. In addition to this coordinating role, the Director of Special Projects takes ownership of key functions spanning convenings and events, development support, and special organizational initiatives as they arise.The ideal candidate exhibits strong problem-solving abilities, and will possess excellent communication skills to ensure the seamless execution of special projects that advance Leadership Roundtable’s strategic objectives and long-term vision.This is a director-level position suited for a highly organized and adaptable nonprofit professional who thrives in fast-moving, cross-functional roles and is equally comfortable driving strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute. This position is full-time and remote, with travel required for events and convenings.Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Support, Board Management, and Strategic OperationsServe as a trusted operational assistant to executive leadership, supporting priority projects and ensuring follow-through on key organizational commitments and opportunitiesCollaborate with senior leadership to anticipate the needs of executive leadership, proactively managing their time, information, and action items related to strategic initiativesHelp coordinate the work of the leadership team, facilitating communication and follow-through across functionsSupport executive leadership in preparing for board meetings, which may include coordinating logistics, compiling briefing materials and board packets, helping to draft talking points, and managing follow-up communications on their behalfDraft correspondence, reports, presentations, and other materials on behalf of executive leadershipConvenings & Events ManagementLead end-to-end logistical planning and execution of Leadership Roundtable's events, including annual convenings and various fundraising eventsManage logistics, timelines, vendor relationships, and budgets for events in collaboration with other key directors and team membersContribute to post-event synthesis, reporting, and follow-up communicationsAs-Needed Development & Fundraising Support Lead the planning and execution of fundraising eventsSupport the Managing Partner and development team in donor cultivation activities, including preparing briefing materials, talking points, and follow-up correspondenceContribute to grant reporting, donor communications, and other development projects as neededHelp identify and track donor engagement opportunities in coordination with leadershipSpecial Projects & InitiativesLead or support special organizational projects which may span program, communications, partnerships, or operationsRequirementsSuccessful Candidates Must Have/Be:Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree a plus10+ years of relevant experience in nonprofit operations, events management, and/or executive administration, with demonstrated progression in responsibilityProven track record managing complex events from conception through executionExperience working closely with and supporting senior executives or leadership teamsSuperior project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting needsExceptional written and verbal communication skills, including strong editing and proofreadingSelf-starter, highly motivated, and self-disciplinedAbility to work with a high degree of independence while also functioning as a strong team playerExcellent judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive informationProficiency with Google Suite; familiarity with project management and CRM tools a plusAbility to travel for events and conveningsCommitment to Leadership Roundtable's mission and valuesFamiliarity with the Catholic Church's teachings, hierarchy, and functional structure preferredBenefitsCompetitive non-profit salary based on experience and qualificationsOption to participate in pre-tax retirement (401k or ROTH) with up to 5% of employee deferral contributions eligible for match Benefits: full health, dental, vision, shorter term and long term disability and life insurance are providedGenerous holiday package including: 10 vacation, 10 sick, 20-21 holidays days per calendar year including Christmas to New Years and the 4th of July week.Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000To ApplySubmit a resume along with a cover letter detailing your experience and interest in the position here.
