Director of Journey Kids

Provides vision, strategy, and direction for the Journey Kids ministries across Journey Church by defining clear outcomes, developing leadership pipelines, and designing the systems and resources. This role focuses on developing leaders and equipping Journey Kids Coordinators to lead thriving teams while creating the ministry strategy, tools, and content that can be implemented consistently across all Journey Church locations and measured through clear ministry outcomes.

Experience and Knowledge Required:
• Visionary leader of leaders with the ability to develop, equip, and multiply staff and volunteer leadership.
• Ability to clarify vision, define ministry outcomes, and lead goal-oriented ministry initiatives.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop staff while fostering a healthy and collaborative team culture.
• Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills with the ability to design systems and strategies that scale across multiple locations.
• Professional representation of Journey Church and the Lord in all things.

General Responsibilities:
• Enthusiastically support the mission and vision of Journey Church.
• Provide vision and direction for Journey Kids to the Journey Kids Coordinators and staff.
• Provide and implement strategic leadership, goals, and initiatives for Journey Kids.
• Partner with Location Pastors on hiring and onboarding Journey Kids staff.
• Oversee the development of Journey Kids team, personally, practically and spiritually.
• Oversee and provide support to Coordinators with Leadership Development.
• Create and maintain the overall ministry dashboard for Journey Kids and oversee the ministry dashboard of each location.
• Partner with Journey Kids Coordinators to plan weekend services and special events (ie: Back to School Bash, Christmas, Easter).
• Ensure each location is developing healthy leadership pipelines that recruit, train, and multiply volunteer leaders.
• Oversee and update Journey Kids resources online.
• Create the Journey Kids IPOs and SOPs for locations to implement.
• Prepare and manage Journey Kids central budget.
• Develop annual events calendar for Journey Kids.
• Prepare, edit, and provide Small Group curriculum to all locations.
