About the position

A-Team Solutions LLC is seeking a dedicated and certified Phlebotomist for a part-time position located in Dallas, TX. This role requires the selected candidate to work Monday through Friday from 5 AM to 9 AM, with alternating weekends as needed. The Phlebotomist will support the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine department by providing phlebotomy services to both inpatient and outpatient clients. The ideal candidate will have at least six months of experience in phlebotomy and must be certified or trained in this field. The position is crucial for maintaining the quality of laboratory services and ensuring patient care is prioritized. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for collecting blood samples, ensuring proper labeling and handling of specimens, and adhering to safety protocols and procedures. This role also involves interacting with patients, requiring strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities
• Provide phlebotomy services to both inpatient and outpatient clients as needed.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding during procedures.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Certified Phlebotomist or trained phlebotomist with at least six months of experience.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) training from the American Heart Association.
,
• Completion of a certified phlebotomy program or minimum of 6 months of documented phlebotomy experience.
,
• Medical Laboratory Technician Certification or ASCP/ASPT Certification is a plus.
,
• Provide a current resume documenting phlebotomy experience.
,
• Provide a statement of availability and a statement of health.
,
• Two or more references from individuals of equal or higher licensure than the applicant.

Nice-to-haves
• VA experience is preferred.
