Director of Engineering, New ML Initiatives

We’re looking for a highly motivated Director of Engineering to join our team and lead our New ML Initiatives at Dropbox. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to define and drive our strategy for integrating machine learning into our products and services. As a Director of Engineering, you’ll be responsible for setting the technical direction, delivering on our ML initiatives, and ensuring our team is focused and productive. To be successful in this role, you must be a highly organized self-starter with a passion for building and leading effective engineering teams.We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and an unwavering commitment to developing innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and executing on successful ML initiatives, and a deep understanding of the principles of machine learning. We’re also looking for someone with a strong sense of ownership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders across the organization. Responsibilities:
Lead and manage engineering teams to develop and execute successful ML initiatives.
Set technical direction and ensure team focus and productivity.
Foster collaboration between stakeholders across the organization.
Develop innovative solutions and utilize problem-solving skills to tackle difficult challenges.
Monitor progress of ML initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain a strong understanding of the principles of machine learning.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Lead initiatives to ensure highest standards of quality and performance.
Work with other teams to ensure successful integration of ML into products and services.
Manage resources and budget to ensure projects stay on track.
